Črni bodul is a sheep cheese which we produce in a unique way by wrapping in walnut leaves giving it a specific flavour and color. It is moderate to hardness and salinity, it is in semi-hard and full cheese cheeses.

The special method of production of this cheese adds the organoleptic properties extracted from the walnut leaves. Adding the leaves of this famous plant to the cheese did not occur during cheese production itself, but when it was already mature. Cheese covered in black walnut leaves a distinctive dark brown color with a natural texture of leaves.

This unique way of production was patented by OPG Mirjenko Mrakovčić. Cheese Črni bodul was awarded the "Champion Fair" in 2009 at the cheese fair in Bjelovar and Grubišno Polje.
